LM1200-111NAS firmware

Hello,

How can I get a firmware update for the LM1200-111NAS?

Attempting to check for firmware update via the admin page gives:

Update Error

There was a problem updating your device. Please try again later.

Attempting to install via file with firmware downloaded from the support site,

https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/LM1200/LM1200_20.06.09.00_LTE_upgrade_package(US).zip

indicates that the firmware is not compatible with the device.

Thanks.

  • Same problem.  I bought the LM1200-111NAS directly from Netgear on May 21, 2025.  I haven’t been able to update either online or by the suggested file.  I have a case open with Netgear to see if they can provide a solution.   Modem works with Verizon when there is a good signal.  Not completely reliable as it will drop out whenever.

I would like to be able update the software to take advantage of fixes and improvements.   This is what is done for most if not all of the software and firmware.

How did you manage to open a case with Netgear? When I tried to open a support request online it wouldn't recognize the device serial number, so wouldn't let me proceed with opening a support request.

Initially Netgear didn’t recognize the S/N of the LM1200.  I contacted them by phone to open a case.  With an open case i sent screen shots of the labeling on the modem and box.  Netgear support was able to register the modem.

  • I have the same problem. Hard to believe there is no solution to providing an advertised feature (failover).
