3 port lag question.
We have 3 of those swit hes in a stack.
I have a lag set up using 1/0/11, 2/0/11, 3/0/11
at switching > lag configuration 2 ports are active and lag state is UP
the target switch is a M4100-50G-POE+ . hash type for lag = 6 .
the lag works for ports 1/0/11 and 2/0/11 .
when I move one of the patch cables to 3/0/11 , the port does not lite up.
here is more info:
interface 1/0/11 addport lag 11 exit interface 2/0/11 addport lag 11 exit interface 3/0/11 addport lag 11 exit ... interface lag 11 auto-voip protocol-based port-channel load-balance 6 dhcp l2relay mtu 9216 vlan pvid 8
Should we be able to use 3 ports on a lag?
And if so any hints on what to check for?
regards
Roberto

Ok, I known your concern.
Could you please change port-channel load-balance to default 3, and try again?

here is more info:
at System>Stacking>Stack Configuration the 3RD switch has 'Standby Status' as 'Opr Standby' .
the other two switches Standby Status = none .
I wonder if that is causing an the issue with 3RD port not working?
