Connecting M4300 to GS752

Question

I just added a M4300 12x12f switch to add 10gb networking for my Hadoop cluster.&nbsp; The rest of our network is GS752 switches with 4x spf+ connectors on each on.&nbsp; I thought that those ports could be connected to the SFP+ ports on the M4300 switch as well, however when I connect them the connectivity light does not come on on either end of the link.&nbsp; However if I connect one of the standard RJ45 connections to both switches I can get gigabit connectivity between them.&nbsp; What am I missing to connect the M4300 to my network with the SFP+ connections?&nbsp; Is the connection between the GS752 switches not 10gbe?&nbsp; Also I am using DAC for the SFP+ cables, not fiber.&nbsp;

Could you please confrim what the detailed switch type of your GS752?
If it's GS752TP, only support 48 1G copper port and 4 1G fiber SFP port, not support SFP+ 10G port.
If it's GS752TXS, it support 48 1G copper port and 4 10G fiber SFP+ port.

It is actually a GS752TP switch.&nbsp; So I was mistaken in what connectivity it has, and I will not be able to use the SFP+ connection on it, just standard cat6 cable to connect the two.&nbsp; Is that correct?&nbsp;

Since the GS752TP is a Gigabit switch with 1000BASE-T RJ45 ports and dedicated 1000BASE-X SFP ports, you can't use 10 Gigabit in between, with our M4300 switch.

Yes, you can use standard CAT5E or better cable to connect the two, using RJ45 ports at 1Gbps.
&nbsp;
Or, if you prefer fiber for longer reach, you can insert a Gigabit SFP fiber transceiver like AGM731F (MM) or AGM732F (SM) in GS752TP SFP port, and in M4300 SFP+ port. The M4300 SFP+ port will detect the Gigabit transceiver and support 1Gbps link this way.
