Difference Between PVID and Untagged VLAN

I have a history in networking, but am new to Netgear and am having some trouble with some of the nomenclature.

From what I understand, the PVID of a port is the VLAN that a switch will put the packet in when it receives an untagged packet.

But you can configure a switch port with untagged vlans that are different than the PVID.

Can anyone explain the difference between these 2 settings?
