GenieGO
Anyone having problems getting their GenieGO device to enable out of home access? I have a Netgear ADSL2 modem and an ASUS RT-AC66U router, I have added ports 8082 & 8083 port forwarding and followed all steps from directv and centurylink but each says it is not their problem. I would like to have the out of access work but am stumped on what else to do. Any suggestions? or anyone else having this issue? thanks.

Hello ctlin
what Netgear modem are you using and is the ASUS doing the routing or is it just set as a access point?

I'm having same problem with FVS336Gv2 router. Everything is wired, no wifi. Opened ports 8082 and 8083 and nothing. The router is behind a UVerse modem/router with all ports opened to the Netgear router. Everything else passes through just fine.

geniego is not working. it initially worked fine but itwo days ago it said home access is not working. i i forwarded ports 8082 and 8083 but no help. uninstalled and reinstalled app. factory reset genie. no help direct tv is working on it. cable provider charter, can't help because it's not their router.
and worst of all, netgear won't help unless i pay them. it's been 6 months since i bought the router so no custommer service. i don't know if other router manufacturers do this but it's horrible. i won't buy another netgear product. i'll rent the router from the service provider who provides support.
