The firmware version 1.4.0.6 has an added feature to allow you to enable/disable power saving mode. DoS protection is automatic, I don't see a way to disable this on the switch. There are also some models (GS716Tv3, GS724Tv4, and GS724Tv5) which totally support disabling and enabling Sleep (Auto-power-down) Mode and EEE mode.

ok, but disables this "power saving mode" also EEE on the switch? its a little unclear what "power saving mode" means...

If there is no RJ45 ethernet cable is connected, the GS105Ev2 switch will go into power saving mode. The switch will just resume normal operation when an ethernet cable is plugged-in to it.Regards,DaneA
