GS308EPP with passive PoE device?
I'm looking for a PoE switch to power a couple of devices in my home. I want to by the GS308EPP (123w) Netgear Switch. Now I'm dragged into the PoE rabbit hole and not sure about what's possible and what's not.
One my devices is a UniFi Access Point AC Lite with these PoE specs:
- Power Method Passive PoE (Pairs 4, 5+; 7, 8 Return)
- Power Supply 24V, 0.5A Gigabit PoE Adapter*
- Max. Power Consumption 6.5W
Is this a compatible combination? Or will the GS308EPP blow up the device?
Who can help?

The GS308EPP won't blow up your Passive "PoE" device, but can't power it either. If you decide adding a power injector matching this passive PoE device, double check it's after (upstream), between the switch and the AP.
