Hi Gadget_Man1,
Welcome to the community! :)
Kindly answer the questions below:
a. Have you set the correct settings for the terminal emulation program (such as Putty or HyperTerminal) you are using? Here are the correct settings:
- Set Data rate to 115,200 baud
- 8 data bits
- 1 stop bit
- No parity
- Set Flow control to None
b. Have you tried using another console cable?
c. Have you tried using another PC or laptop?

I have done all ofthese, at 115200 baud and 9600 baud (as it says on the device).
I don't have another console cable, but as this one is brand new i don't think this is the issue.
I have tried 2 computers on multiple OSes.
I really don't know what to do with this.
Thanks

Let us try this. Connect the GSM7224v1 switch directly to a LAN port of your router. Then, check the settings on the router if the GSM7224v1 has obtained an IP address. If ever the GSM7224v1 has obtained an IP address from the router, try to access its web-GUI and from there, you could perform a factory reset to have a fresh start in setting up the switch.
