GSM7224v1 problem
Hi,
I bought a used GSN7224V1, I'm trying to configure the switch but it seems it have some sort of problem or just may be I have not found the right instructions to first configure my switch, the situation as follow..
- When I connect the power cord to the switch most of the times I get all the leds solid yellow and no response from serial console, I have to try many times until the switch actually boots up and get information in the serial console.
- I found the instructions in the support site for the switches not booting up, I found the SwitchRecoveryTool and "applied" the recovery to the switch with success, I mean it loaded a 6.3.x.x firmware, it tested it and at the end the tool said that the switch was successfully recovered.
- I'm getting this information in the console:
Operational Code Date: Wed May 28 03:36:08 2008
Uncompressing.....
50% 100%

Attaching interface lo0...done

Select an option. If no selection in 10 seconds then
operational code will start.
1 - Start operational code.
2 - Start Boot Menu.
Select (1, 2):
- If I press 1, everything begins again, If I press 2 then 1, the same
- I get the following errors in the switch log
Many many times:

ERROR> marv_ini 252 03477944 00000001 0 0 0 1
At the end, many many times:
EVENT> bootos.c 260 03EFFE68 AAAAAAAA 0 0 0 0
EVENT> bootos.c 260 03EFFE68 AAAAAAAA 0 0 0 0
- I do not know if it helps but the option 2 / 9 shows:
The following image is in the Flash File System:

- I loaded the 6.2.0.14 firmware using XMODEM (option 2 / 4) but nothing changes, only the dates an the version of the firmware when showing the Operational Code Date
Can you help me please? is there anything missing I have to do? is the switch bricked/damaged?, can somebody tell me how to solve this?
Regards.
Walter.
