Hi,
thank you for your quick response.:smileyhappy:
Parameter for console is: 115200,8,none,1,none
If I open a telnet connection i get "unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused"
With WinSCP I'm getting asked for a password.:smileysad:
Do I have to disconnect all RJ45 cables before doing something on the switch?
Connected with all cables I can't ping the switch. I'll try tommorow without any cable again.
Thank You

Apr 02, 2018Hi apejovic,
Could you please check the dial switch for console on the back plane of the Switch. There is two choice of 'DB9' and 'USB'. Please make sure it's on DB9 when you connect RS232 cable to the Swtich.
Hope it helps!

Hi,
i checked the backplane. There is no dial switch. Just the DB9 port and a 12V port behind a cover secured with two screws.
Under the DB9 port the settings for the console is printed on the backplane. It shows 9600 for baud rate.
Is there anyway to use the front usb for flashing the switch?
What about the 12V connection?
Thanky you for your help

Hi apejovic,
Sorry, you are correct. My switch module is GSM7224P, not absolutely same with yours.
Ok, since the console port baud rate is 9600 on GSM7224v2 switch, and it only support DB9 console port, so please change the Hyper Terminal parameter as below and try again:
• Baud rate: 9,600 bps
• Data bits: 8
• Parity: none
• Stop bit: 1
• Flow control: none
Besides, there is no other way to flash switch by USB port, only support via console port or web GUI.

Hi all,
sorry for my late response.
I try everything but it's not possible to access the switch. I sell as as defect for spare parts.
I bought a new switch. It's a GS116Ev2.
Thank you for your help.
