Hi klqn,
Welcome to the community! :)
You mentioned that you are only getting 1MB/s speed when your PC is connected to the GSM7248v1. Kindly answer the questions below:
a. What is the behavior of the port LED light on the LAN port where your PC is connected to the GSM7248v1?
b. Have you tried using other LAN ports of the GSM7248v1? If yes, is it the same problem?
c. Are you using CAT5e or CAT6 ethernet cables?
d. Kindly access the web-GUI of your GSM7248v1, go to Switching > Ports > Port Configuration. Is the Admin Mode set to enable to all ports?
e. From question d, is the Physical Mode set to Auto on all ports? What are the other options on it?
I look forward to your response.

DaneA,
Do you you have bootloader (gsm72xxxxx.stk) for GSM7248v1? I think I need to fix the bootloader by XMODEM or reprogram it with the programmer. programmer = desolder the SST 39VF040 70-4C-NH, put it on the IC programmer in my lab. Once I get my bootloader load up via console, I can for XMODEM or tftp to flash the switch firmware. All I need is a "bootloader (gsm72xxxxx.stk) for GSM7248v1".
thanks for you help.
Flash memory for bootloader
Flash for firmware.

Hi klqn,
I am not sure if there is a bootloader available for the GSM7248v1 switch. I suggest you to open an online case with NETGEAR Support and inquire if there is a bootloader for the GSM7248v1.
Also, just a reminder, the warranty of the GSM7248v1 will be void if you desolder some components of it.
