How to create a different subnet on vlan port for wireless router?
Hello,
I currently have a GSM7248v2 switch and I am trying to figure out how to accomplish the following task:
1) My prosafe switch is on subnet 192.168.1.x
2) I have a wireless router that I have connected to the prosafe switch but want to use a different subnet such as 10.10.1.1 to segregate my wireless traffic separate from the hard wired traffic.
3) I don't know how to get the wireless router connected to my prosafe switch using a different subnet and also connecting to a 192.168.1.x dsl modem as the gateway to provide outside access?
So to reiterate I am trying to have wireless clients recieve dhcp pool (10.10.1.x) while being segregated from the 192.168.1.x hard-wired clients and be able to get out on the internet via the dsl gateway at address 192.168.1.x. From my understand maybe vlanning can help with this but I am absolutely ignorant of those features on this switch.
Any help is much appreciated in advance. :)
