Apr 24, 2017Hi arian_gh1,
I suggest you upgrade M5300 firmware to latest verion and try again. As the current firmware is too old, and latest version is v11.0.0.28.
Below it the download link and release note:
https://kb.netgear.com/000036661/M5300-Firmware-Version-11-0-0-28
Note: as your switch version v10.0.0.44, it not allow to upgrade to v11.0 directly. If want to upgrade to v11.0, you should upgrade to v10.0.0.53 at first, then upgrade to v11.0.
Hope it can helps!

Many thanks for your comment.
I have another question regarding the management interface. In some switches we have the command:
network parms.....
which set the manegement interface.
But in some other devices, this command is not valid and we should create a virtual VLAN interface, enable routing and give it ip address to set the management interface.
Can you please prove my comment?
Many thank sin advanced,
BR,
Arian

Hi arian_gh1,
Yes, as you said. Some switches with old firmware or Smart switch only support network interface for management, which command as 'network parms ...'.
On new firmware, switch support Management VLAN, by default it's VLAN1, and user can change to other VLAN ID. If you want to change Management VLAN to other IDs, you should create VLAN and enable routing for this VLAN interface at first, then set IP address or get dynamic IP from DHCP Server for this Management VLAN.
For more detailed information about Management VLAN Interface, please refer to the Link
Hope it can helps!
