a. What is the brand name and model name of the AP connected to the JGS516PE?
b. What is the current firmware version of the JGS516PE?
c. Did you try to perform a factory reset on the JGS516PE then reconfigure it from scratch and check if same problem occurs?

I will reply again to this request.
The AP is a Sophos AP55c.
The current firmware is 2.0.1.26 which from memory is the latest on the Netgear site for this version of the JGS516PE.
I have not tried the complete reset to factory defaults and start a new configuration. I will do that shortly when my wife finishes her current internet session.
