M4100-26G - VLAN - Isolate a few ports

A little bit vague. Are you trying to cross-connect different port groups with this cabling? One might guess this is intentional to avoid network loop conditions. The common mechanism in place is STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanning_Tree_Protocol
Significantly faster in the loop discovery time is RSTP https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanning_Tree_Protocol. Said that, this is switch-wide.
A more advanced version is MSTP https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_Spanning_Tree_Protocol allowing to limit a spanning tree to a VLAN.
A good point to start in case of a problem is always the switch log where you can see the reason why the switch does stop responding.

Thank you for the quick response. I am actually aiming for the port groups to be completely isolated from each other. Reading some of the material, it sounds like this is probably not doable. I am reading what you sent, it will be a day or two before I have been able to read and digest what you sent. Thank you for sending me the info.
I am certain it's the loop back that's causing the issue, I'll review logs as well and get the actual answer.
