M4100-26G VLAN Translation
Hi all, would appreciate any help with this as I'm a novice with networking in general.
I have a problem where I have 16 units that all have the same default IP address (cannot be changed) that output packets tagged on VLAN 12. What I need the switch to do is:
- Strip the VLAN 12 tag on the ingress packet.
- Tag the packet with the physical port's PVID (not VLAN12) so that it can be sent out on another port with the new VLAN tag.
- The newly tagged packets are picked up by another host that only expects the new unique VLAN tag (not VLAN12)
- Need this to be bi-directional so that egressing packets are tagged with VLAN12.
Can this be accomplished using the M4100-26G?
Some more background: we cannot map via IP or MAC address as the units will swap out dynamically.
Hope that makes sense! Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome to our community! :)
I think this would be possible if you have an 802.1q tag from the output packet. You just need to assign the port as T from the uplink and set the corresponding VLAN on the PVID configuration. By then, the egress packet will claim the PVID assigned.
