M4300 - Change SDM Profile

I inquired this issue that you have and this is their response.
- You may need to power down one switch for the stack then remove it physically from the stack.
- Boot it up in standalone mode and change its SDM. It will cause the reboot
- Power down the switch and reconnect the stacking cables
- Power up the switch back in the stack and do the same to the others, one by one.
This way, the stack itself doesn't reboot. Please let us know if you do have any concerns :)

Is there somewhere we can ask for feature requests? I believe alot of people would be thankful for a rolling stack restart option.
We run a virtualisation environment where nodes fence themselves, by hard resetting, after loosing quorum. Simply restarting the entire stack is subsequently not an option.
A rolling restart feature would require stack membership to form when devices have certain combinations of firmware, perhaps simply the latest and earlier release. First member should administratively shut all non-stacking ports and reboot. Once re-joined the ports are unshut and the next switch repeats the cycle.
I've attached an internal document which shows the laborious process we need to currently follow, to avoid concurrent interruptions.
