Postal franking machine doesn't work
We have a Neopost postal franking machine. It only supports 10M but I have attached it to a small Netgear switch that does 10./100/1000
and then conected it to our network. As soon as it is plugged in it starts transmitting saturating the 10M link.
If I plug it in the Internet side ( directly to the router ) it works fine
If I plug it in our side of the Smoothwall filter it also works fine
As soon as I plug it into something ( anything ) connected to the main switch it just starts transmitting like there is no tomorrow and won't stop
Any ideas anyone

Hi interele,
Welcome to our community! :)
Before any further, May I know the model number of your switch? Is it unmanaged switch? Where is it connected? May you be able to provide us some network topology to look at?
