powerline AV500 booster printer connection problem,

Hi,

Not sure if this is something canon should be helping me with, but here goes.

I recently bought a canon pixma MG5650 printer, and im trying to connect it to my wifi, in my office, using the booster (AV500) as the signal isn't strong enough up here. The printer refuses to connect to it...is there something im missing? it connects to the (increadably weak) wifi signal from downstairs but not the booster 2 feet from it.

Any help will be appreciated.
