Prosafe switch GS716T register its warranty replacement?
Just had a replacement GS716T V3 switch supplied under the lifetime warranty. Does anyone know if the replacement has to be registered?
I tried to register the replacement, but got the classic: "This Serial number has already been registered in our system by a support representative."
And also "Invalid manufacturing date"
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Martin
The replacement is automatically registered to your profile when the replacement ships out to you. If you log in to my.netgear.com you should see the replacement listed under your registered products.

Hello hoggm2,
Usually, the update happens once the warehouse receives the defective unit. They change the registered serial number from the old one to the replacement, the warranty will continue on the replacement switch. It is nice to know that it is updated now.
