routing options RIp , OSPF ...

Our network consists of a stack of  gsm7352   with   lags to  three   m4100 switches.  In addition we have a pfsense firewall with  two wan connections .   main and backup wan.

gsm7352 is the only switch set to do routing on our lan.

we have multiple routing vlans set up,

My question is:   are routing    RIP , OSPF, VRRP and Multicast   items we should use to enhance the network?  or not bother with.

    Hi robfantini

    Welcome to the community!

    1. I didn't suggest using dynamic route protocol(RIP/OSPF) in your network, as on the core switch(gsm7352), there is only one default static route, no setting many static routes. Althouth there are many L3 routing VLAN, but they are all using for local VLANs.

    2. For VRRP protocol, it's used for Router Redundancy, and it apply in one specific network topology. For detailed info, please refer to link (page280, VRRP).

    3. For L2&L3 Multicast, like IGMP Snooping and IGMP/DVMRP/PIM...., these function used in the scenario with multicast stream(such as: VoD service)

    Hope it helps!
