Which browser?
Which browser to use in programing a GS724TPS?
Specifically when trying to setup vlan's.
Firefox and chrome work, but when I select VLAN Membership, it doesn't give me the table to tag ports.
I did get it to work sometimes with IE, but right now IE hangs if I select the "Switching" tab, the switch itself is not hung as I can hit refresh and it goes back to the main page.
I had one switch standalone before and it worked ok, but I currently have a GS748TS and a GS748TPS in the stack that I'm having issues with.
I also have a GS724Tv3 that does not exhibit the same issue.
All switches on the latest firmware 5.2.0.10
Thanks,
Steven

- jmizoguchiVirtuosoHave you tired with IE under compatible mode?
- StevenAAspirantErps, yeah, I should have mentioned that, if compatibility mode is off it won't show the tabs at all.
Figures I just tried it now under IE and it's working, for the moment.
Just weird in that it works fine under firefox and chrome with the GS724T, but not the GS724TPS, or even the GS724TS.
My GS724TS was the master and exhibited this problem, but the problem continued when I made the GS748TPS master and now the GS724TPS.
Firefox and chrome still don't show the tag/untag table under VLAN Membership
It probably won't work again in the morning as it seems to be sporadic like that.
Steven - jmizoguchiVirtuosoIs switch using old GUI base?
Old one also uses java base gui - StevenAAspirantI guess it is, the GS748TPS is not even a year old yet, but loading up the page and viewing the source shows it's running Java.
I tried it again this morning and I was right, I can't switch to the "switching" it just sits and spins. All other tabs appear to be working, actually I take that back, I clicked on the security tab and that's stalled also.
Steven - jmizoguchiVirtuosoCan you post screenshot of the interface GUI
- StevenAAspirantSorry for the delay, had a busy week/end.
This is what I usually get, IE blue circle just sitting and spinning, if I hit refresh it goes back to the main page.

Have you tried Safari ? - StevenAAspirantI didn't have it installed till now, dark side and all ya know?
At the moment, yes, it is working, will keep trying and see what happens.
Steven - jmizoguchiVirtuosoGood luck......:)
- pmappAspirantFirefox Portable 3.5.6 will get around this issue (or it did for me).
Hope that helps.
