2 Internet Connections with GS110TPV3
Hello,
I have 2 internet connections and I would like to setup for failover and hoping someone can help me out. I have 2 RJ45 SFP modules plugged in to the 2 SFP ports as well. I can use these for incoming internet connections, right?
I have 1 line with a 10.5.1.254 gateway, and another with a 192.168.1.90. I would like 10.5.1.254 be the primary gateway, and failover to the 192.168.1.90 when it goes down. I have an 8-port unmanaged switch connected to the GS110TPv3 switch, which contains 2 clients. 1 client is DHCP and another is static with 10.5.1.215. I would like when the failover occurs, that the DHCP client (which will now have a 192.168.1.X IP) to be able to still communicate to the 10.5.1.215 client via Layer 3. The 10.5.1.215 client does not need internet access when the failover occurs, it's just a local printer. Can someone help me achieve this or point me to a similar post?It seems like whenever I start playing with VLANs I lose my connection. Thanks for any help!

Two Internet connections, over two routers, to networks, two VLANs, two dedicated networks. If required, static IP routing between two LAN subnets using the available cut-through L2+ routing certainly works. Said this, doing so requires some design and planning.
But this is about all what can be implemented - no magic fail-over is feasible. Sorry for that 8-)
