GS108PE Poe Power Cycling

I understand the Prosafe Plus switches do not have POE power control ability on each port so that you can cycle a single port. However I am wondering if the switch cycles all the POE ports power on reboot as the Fully Managed switches such as the GS100TP do. That would suit my purposes.

    mrswitch,

    Welcome to our community! :)

That is correct. Once you reboot the switch, all POE ports will power up too. This will automatically power up any POE device connected to the switch.

When I reboot the GS108PE will it depower all POE ports and then repower them when it comes up, giving a power cycle to all ports?

Yes. In fact this is the standard on most PoE switches.

Few/recent sophisticated Netgear PoE switch models introduced an "Uninterrupted PoE" feature which can be enabled if required: Keep PoE running even when rebooting the switch Software reset or reboot after firmware upgrade will not force PoE PD devices to power recycle. Factory default will still reset the PoE controller and pause PoE output while rebooting.
