GS724Tv4: Any chance to free VLAN ID 2?

Hi guys,

I own a GS724Tv4, FW Version 6.3.1.19.

I desperately need VLAN ID=2 for my network, but it is blocked by "Auto VoIP". Neither can it be deleted, nor can the ID be changed to something different. It is not even possible to add ports as regular members with "U" or "T" flags, which is exactly waht I have to do.

I remember having seen at the "v5" (or maybe another similar switch) Ports for "Auto VoIP" (ID 2) and "Auto-Video" (ID 3) have been moved to ID 4xxx something. Is there any update, hack, whatever that can help me?

Thx, Andre

Not one of the SMART Wi-Fi, General and Legacy Routers covered here.

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

    Switches - NETGEAR Communities

You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
