GS728TP: PoE Fault
Hello, We just purchased a GS728TP PoE Smart Switch. Unfortunately, when we plug in a new device that requires PoE, the switch has to be rebooted before it will recognise (and provide power to) ...

I'm very happy to find a topic referring exactly the issue i faced.
I also received a replacement switch put problem was still the same (last firmware from the website, etc ...).
After hours of troubleshooting, i found out that it's related to the cascaded switch behind this one.
This GS728TP was connected on a GS724TP, and both are POE switches, i disabled the POE feature on both switches on the ports used to cascade them and no issues anymore.
I don't know if you had same setup but in my case it's now solved ! :)

Thanks for mentioning your solution. I am having a similiar problem only deactivating POE on that single port isn't enouph.
POE only works (on all ports) when no other switch is connected... Very strange. I am on the newest 6.0.1.16 Firmware.
