Only the GS308 series loses connection from the Wi-Fi router
When I connect a Sony Wi-Fi router(NSD-G1000T) to Port 1 of a GS308 series switch, it receives an IP address from the DHCP server and functions as a switch for the first 3-5 seconds.
My PC con...

That (STP) setting (default: ON) was the cause of this issue!
I didn't fully understand STP, so I couldn't fully utilize your comments.Thank you again for following up.
I wanted VLAN functionality, but it seems I was buying a device beyond my level of knowledge. I need to learn more about the device I purchased (GS308T).

A GS308 is an unmanaged switch, nothing to configure.
Or are we facing any kind of GS308E, GS308EP, or GS308EPP?
Unlikely with such a simple config, the Easy Smart Essentials Switches (PoE or not), but also the GS108E the OP is referring to, have a feature called LOOP DETECTION. If in doubt, disable this feature - especially if paired with some more sophisticated Mesh WiFi system, eg. used as a wireless access point.

This has no impact on the switch at least.

It shouldn't, unless there is a compatibility issue in the router ethernet. Perhaps not likely, but easy to test.

Together with the Sony NSD-M1000 it can make-up a mesh system...

Thank you for your advice.I confirmed the setting of the GS308T.
I had proceeded factory reset at the previous investigation procedures, and the confirmed setting: the loop protection setting was OFF.I also confirmed the settings of the Sony router, but I could not find sittings regarding these loop protection/detection functions.
I am still having issues, but I appreciate your support.

Again a totally different beast. That's why the community does always request the exact device make and model.
These GS308T (might) have Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) enabled by default - as these are standard for business and enterprise class networking devices - something these kind of Easy Mesh and similar are simply highly incompatible (just like the Loop Prevention the GS308E does have) to these wonderful Mesh **** - albeit always calming it's IEEE compliant. All makers of these wonderful MEsh systems don't tell the uneducated customers that only so called "unmanaged" switches can be used - the reasons are Loop Prevention and even more STP. These systems do -not- accept the same MAC address appearing on different switch ports or networks.
Ensure STP (RSTP) et all (like the Loop Prevention) are disabled, and try again.
