Time configuration on GS 724T V3
I try to setup the SNTP Global Configuration the following way:
1 in Time Configuration set clock source to SNTP
2 In SNTP server configuration :
Server type :DNS
Adress: time-f.netgear.com
Port: 123
Priority: 1
Version: 4
and enter Add
3 in DNS Server configuration
Status: Enable
DNS server 192.168.1.1
and enter Add
Back to Tme:
Nottingchanged
Date still at 01/01/1970
Time 00:35:08
What do I do wrong?
Thanks in advance for a replay

I suggest you to update the firmware of your GS724Tv3 switch from v5.4.2.18 to v5.4.2.27. Be sure to perform a factory reset on the GS724Tv3 then reconfigure it from scratch. Try again to setup the SNTP Global Configuration and check the result.
You may download the latest firmware v5.4.2.27 here.

Hi Marum,
Welcome to the community! :)
Kindly answer the questions below:
a. Is the SNTP configuration working before?
b. What is the current firmware version of the GS724Tv3?
Kindly try the steps below:
1. On the web-GUI of the GS724Tv3, go to System > Management > Time > SNTP Server Configuration.
2. On the Server Type column, select IPv4.
3. On the Address field, enter the LAN IP Address of your default gateway (router).
4. Leave the Port, Priority and the Version fields on defaults.
5. Click Add.
Note: You may need to reboot the GS724Tv3 for the settings to apply.
Let us know the results.

Hallo, DanaA,
First of all thanks for the fast replay.
The suggestion of the IP adress did not solve the problem.
Boot Version: B5.1.1.1
Software version: 5.4.2.18.
The unit is brand new strait from the box.
The only thing changed is the Software version as i hoped this would solve the problem.
Regards,
Marum.
