Netgear GS105v5 - Wifi is connecting to the internet but ethernet is not
My Netgear GS105v5 is supporting wifi connections but not ethernet connections. When connected to wifi I get my wifi network (setup through Eero mesh router). When I plugin my ethernet cable from my desktop no internet connection. I've tested wifi on multiple devices and ethernet on multiple devices and the results are the same.
My ethernet's IP address and DNS servers are set to automatic. I have the following items setup for the network: Hitron cable modem, Eero mesh router (and 3 others to extend the wifi).
I have no idea why this isn't working when everything was fine pre installing the switch.
OS: Windows 11
Switch: Netgear GS105v5
Devices connected to switch: Hitron cable modem, Eero mesh router, Desktop ethernet cable and Ooma home security ethernet cable
Current Setup: ISP supplied modem is plugged into the switch, mesh router is plugged into the switch, desktop PC is plugged into the switch and Ooma home security is plugged into the switch.
*I also tried plugging my modem directly into the Eero then into the switch. That killed the wifi internet and the ethernet didn't work.
Lights Status: All flashing green, solid green for power
IPconfig results (when connected through ethernet):

With all due resect, this is simply nonsense.
Well possible, a switch connected in the wrong position on your Eero network will kill any connectivity - this is not the fault of the GS105v5 (or whatever other switch). Start about here: eero Help Center eero & Beacon Understanding eero How do I add more Ethernet ports?

With all due respect I'd recommend only including the second part of your answer when replying to people seeking help. There was no need for the first part because if I wasn't so damn stubborn I would have returned the switch and bought a competitor's product.
Turns out all I had to do was power cycle my modem and its working. I should have done that as a matter of anytime you make changes to the network its a best practice but sometimes we're human and forget.
Hope you have a good day!
