Accessing Interface WAC104

Hi i just got an new WAC104 access point, and i cannot by any means i know access it's interface. The proposed guide in the box does not work. Using my knowledge of manual setup i used on previous routers and access points i have tried static ip and windows network discovery and such. But to no avail.

I have even changed my home router host i.p and assigned static ip to my mobile or pc to gain access but that also does not work.

I really need help figuring this out

In case my issue is not clear enough.

Guide in box or online - Does not work "cannot access the interface"

Static Ip to connect to 192.168.100.1 tested same result

Changing my host ip on my main router yields the same result.

Scratch anything. Strictly stick to 100% with the installation guide: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WAC104/WAC104_IG_EN.pdf

Step 2. Join the AP’s WiFi network

    ...

Step 3. Log in to the local browser UI Troubleshooting tips

    ...

Launch a web browser on a WiFi-enabled device that has a WiFi connection to the
AP (see Step 2. Join the AP’s WiFi network) and enter http://www.aplogin.net or
    http://www.aplogin.com in the address field.
These URLs are the same as the IP address 192.168.0.100.
    A login window displays.
    2. Enter the AP user name and password.
The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and
    password are case-sensitive.

    ...

or use the password previously configured.

So what are you taking away from this? Its what it is. Would love to tell you the common sense accessing the WAC104 over the LAN is possible. Of course, a "normal" AP behavior would be great RaghuHR please.

Like i said. I did all that to access the web interface using a mobile machine connected via wifi also. Also tried everything on local lan side. If you read carefully i said i followed the whole instructions as described.

So please provide some basic insights like screenshots of the wireless client associated to that WAC104 access point from both the client as well as from the AP side and from the router and network (LAN) view.

One part of the RTFM is this crucial "http://www.aplogin.net" and "http://www.aplogin.com" access.

A result of a ping or nslookup (for example) would be brilliant.

Yes, I could imagine customers are operating interesting router or network config with proxies, crazy Internet "security" software, or other i-know-better designs like allowing some encrypted DNS only.

After a third factory reset, now it works using aplogin.com. This makes me sweat.

        Excellent!

For my own curiosity Can the WAC104 now accessed direct from your other wireless or wired network using the WAC104 it's (current assigned) LAN IP address?

This safes me from buying a piece of hardware just to help other Netgear WAC104 customers.
