UPnP on the WAC720

Hi

I have a WAC510 and the WAC720. The issue is that the WAC510 will forward UPnP packets and the WAC720 will not. Is there any way to configure the WAC720 to pass UPnP packets. Maybe through the CLI. I do see Bonjour but that won't work with my devices that need UPnP. Wemo is the product that needs UPnP for discovery.

Thanks Gary

    We see all UPnP SSDP (and WSD) announced devices on your networks, being on the WAC730 (exact same firmware as on the WAC720) APs as well as on the WAC5xx.

    Is the problem in the path:

    Mobile/App <-> WAC510 <-Ethernet-> WAC720 <-> WeMo-plug

    or
    Mobile/App <-> WAC720 <-> WeMo-plug

      The exact problem is as follows. All devices will respond to the Wemo mobile app's UPnP discovery all the time when all are on the WAC720. However the Wemo devices will not respond to a UPnP discovery packet when it originates from the Ethernet side of the network. There is one exception however. Strangely if one device is power reset causing it to disassociate and re-associate to the WAC720 a few minute window is open allowing all the devices to respond to the UPnP discovery packet from the Ethernet side. After that window closes UPnP discovery packets are ignored once again. The window is about 2 to 5 minutes.

      The WAC720 is connected to an M4100-24G switch and mulicast is functioning throughout the network.

      The WAC720 and the WAC510 both support two vlans. Vlan 1 being the main network on both that the Wemo devices are associated with.

      The WAC510 seems to properly handle the UPnP packets. I only did one test as it is not the primary AP.

      Thanks for your reply.

        There may not be a problem with the WAC720. Using the Wemo app it does work going fron AP to Ethernet to AP.

        What is not working except during the opened window is the Python API pywemo.

        Thanks I will need to to more testing.
