WAX214 - Wireless Access Point - Issues with Wifi Adapter
Hello all, I'm turning to this forum as I've been troubleshooting this for about a week to no avail. I recently purchased a WAX214 WAP and installed it without any issues to any devices with built in wifi cards (Macbook, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 5, Sony Smart TV). Because my desktop is a bit older it uses an external wifi adapter. Recently I purchased a wifi6 capable adapter: USB Wifi 6 Adapter
Now my Windows 10 desktop is able to detect the device, it has the correct driver installed, Realtek 8832BU Wireless LAN Wifi 6 USB NIC, and I can see available networks. Whenever I try to connect to the network the AP is broadcasting, it fails. I had them send a replacement adapter and the same issue is happening.
I've updated the firmware on the AP, updated the drivers on the adapter (also reinstalled the drivers), without any resolution. My other devices, such as my Samsung Z-Flip 3, connects without issue and has full speeds (500 mbps+). I am certain there is a misconfiguration between the adapter and the WAP at this point. Any insight would be appreciated.
Here's a snippet of the logs as well when trying to connect:

Got a windows 11 laptop/pc around somewhere that you can plug the USB adapter into and try?
Not at this time, though I could upgrade my desktop to Windows 11, but the adapter is advertised as Windows 10 capable as well.

Its more about testing whether its an adapter issue, pc issue, or router issue.
I wouldn't say update to 11 unless you want but I'd check around and see if you could borrow someone's laptop to test it

Tells us the wireless association is established.
Double check the wireless adapter is configured as a DHCP client, not a static IP.
At this time it is configured as a DHCP client but I believe I will need to test on other devices because using the adapter I cannot connect to any network, whether its the WAP, a hotspot, or other. Therefore I believe my configuration on my computer and how it interacts with the adapter might be the issue. Will be ordering another adapter from a different company to test.

Hope the new adapter works well.
