Orbi Pro SRR60 slow ethernet in AP mode

Hi All, I am having trouble with my Orbi Pro router in AP mode. The ethernet speed is slower than wifi, and much slower than in router mode. I have an ER7206 wired router which the SRR60 connects to, followed by SRS60 satellites throughout the house.

In router mode, I was getting 400mbps from any ethernet ports from the satellites, now I am getting less than 100mbps from any of the satellites. Wifi is up around 300mbps from the satellites, and 400mbps from the SRR60. The speed out of the ER7206 is 900mbps, the speed out of the SRR60 is 900mbps, but any satellite won't reach above 100mbps on ethernet, whereas wifi is much faster. Prior to changing to AP mode, the wifi was close to 400mbps, so even the wifi speed has also dropped off a bit.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice please?

  • Update, I have reserved ip addresses for most of my devices which has increased wifi speed at all locations, but the ethernet speed is still below 100mbps at every satellite, yet the wifi at the satellites is between 400 and 500mbps.

What FW version is loaded on the system?

Is this speed issue see if the Orbi system is configured for router mode?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?

What CAT# LAN cable are you using between the SRS and PC?

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser.
