SXR80 satellites both have lost connection, re-adding is not possible with strange behaviour
I have already created a ticket for this, but maybe someone on the forum can also advise.
This is what I have sent to Netgear:
Today out of the blue I had no internet anymore on many of my devices.
After checking, the satellites were displaying solid magenta.
Trying to re-synch did not work.
When I go close to the router I can get wifi on my laptop and some devices.
Wired connections are working and internet access is working.
I tried resetting all satellites and router to factory standard.
I renamed my network the same as before and try to synch the satellites again really close to the router.
Satellites both become blue in the process for a little while and go to solid magenta after that and stay this way.
Both satellites display the same behaviour so I am guessing problem with the router.
Tried the proces again with a utp connection between router and satellite.
Satellite goes to solid magenta again, however it show up in the router settings with IP address 192.168.1.250 which I can ping.
If I access the page by browser it shows me all the connection devices (wired and wireless) from the router itself, which makes no sense since nothing is connected. After removing the utp and restarting the satellite, solid amber, solid blue, solid amber and again to solid magenta in a 2 minute period. Then it goes back to blue again for a few minutes, then back to blinking white, back to amber, back to blue and back again to solid magenta.
There is not really a pattern to be found in this behaviour.
From time to time, my wifi connection (when sitting next to the router) just drops.
Reboot helps most of the times, sometimes it just comes back...

What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
solid magenta indicates either a backhaul issue or issues getting an IP address. If the router is having issues getting an IP address from the gateway, it could cause issues.
- elbobbahTutorHi, same update here as to netgear support;
What I tried in the meanwhile is re-flashing latest firmware but this did not help.Just performed a factory reset of the router by holding reset for 30 seconds while on power, 30 seconds without power, replugging it to power and keeping another 30 seconds. After this I tried the re-synch proces. It seemed all was working, however after 10 minutes, satellites back to magenta. No connection with my macbook, even when next to the router.Keep going from searchingto warning (no internet)I have 2 vlans and wifi (normal and iot). It seems I can connect to the iot 2.4 and 5Ghz network (when next to the router) and have internet access.Netgear insights show (like it did before) the 2 satellites in red.Every component is in the same place as it has been for more than a year.Summary:- No connection to main wifi (from mac or windows device)- Connection to wifi of iot is working (with internet access), when next to router- Satellites lose connection after reset/resynch and turn magenta - elbobbahTutor
There is nothing wrong with the router/modem before the Orbi since the Orbi router has internet connection.
What I can see now (after reboot 100) is while being magenta, i can reach the satellites but they both have the same ip address... gets stranger and stranger.

Was FW on the SXS updated first before the SXR was?
What FW is loaded on the system?
Did you try to add the SXS one at a time?
Try using the SXRs add satellite feature on it's web page.
- elbobbahTutorThere was no manual update, so I don't know when which SXS or the SXR was updated. SXS's were added one at a time. I am now trying to force them both into an ip address. They were added from the web page. Running firmware V4.3.3.200 I have now changed the IP address of one of the 2 satellites to 192.168.1.201 and left the other one offline. It seems to be running ok for 2 hours now. Have connected the second one again just now, which now gets IP address 192.168.1.43. Both have backhaul to the SXR80. Will see if it stays stable in the coming hours. Don't know what has happened ...

So you can access the SXS web pages at those new IP addresses correctly?
FW same version as whats on the SXR?
