NETGEAR Genie is not connecting to router

When i was trying to connect netgear genie to the netgear router its displaying the error " login failed.the router response timed out "

i am unable to connect to the parental controls and the bypass account

    What's the exact model number of the NETGEAR router? 

    What NETGEAR Genie are you using? Is it the app from the phone or the PC?

    Can you provide a screenshot?

        jerbla What's the model number of your router? 
        Latest Genie version is 2.4.38.

        Are you using wired or wireless connection in accessing the admin page?

        Will you be able to access it if you open your browser and type www.routerlogin.net? 

  • I'm having same problem. I have the NETGEAR AC1750 Smart Wi-Fi Router. I know the internet works because I've plugged directly into my laptop. But once in the router, I can connect to my wifi but have no internet. How do I fix this problem.

      if more than oner person is suffering the same it suggests the routers are fine?

        does anyone from Netgear monitor this, I am really peeved that there is no real support for users to resolve issues with supposed functions of these items. The fact the Parential control is not accessible is a joke. 

         

         

  • Thos only started after recent app update for me. I can reboot router and get one successful login. After that i get the router is busy message. Can reboot and repeat scenario. Not ideal. Hoping this is solvable via another app update.
  • I have everything checked still no luck. I believe the issue is with the genie app? I can login fine using safari or web interface. However if I attempt to login on the app I receive the "Login Failed, router was not found or is not supported." Router model RX8000 Just downloaded v1.0.3.46_1_1.32. I would appreciate a resolution if possible.
  • Am having the exact same issue. I rebooted and got one login and then no access. Then I reset the router and got the same issue.
