I have a bit similar problem. I have a router with the latest firmware version (V7.2.8.2_5) and a satellite with an old version (V3.2.17). The satellite appears online as a "router" and  does not allow to up web server. The satellite's bootloader doesn't allow me to upload a firmware file larger than 32 MB, so I can't update it. Are there any options for updating the firmware for this satellite?

  • Performed a 30-30-30 reset on the RBS - no result.

FW versions 3.2.18.1 and v4.x exceed 32 MB limit and cannot be loaded.

It is necessary to make the satellite "visible" in http mode.

Is this the original RBS that came with your RBR or did you get his one RBS 2nd hand?

Seems like this one RBS is in some bad state and can't be cleared out or resolved.

To get at the self service web page of the RBS, just need to factory reset it and don't sync it to anything, then you can access it's self service web page and update FW there with a ethernet PC as discribed in that guide. However if it's failing here, seems like this RBS needs to be replaced.

  • RBR750 Router (V7.2.8.2_5) + RBS 750 (V7.2.8.2_5) Satellite communicate and work perfectly. Satellite RBS 750 (V3.2.17) failed to upgrade online, then I tried to download the firmware via nmrpflash. Only versions V3 were suitable for downloading (not exceed limit 32 MB). All newer versions V4, V7 exceed limit 32 MB and can be used with working web server only. Unfortunately ORBI Router (V7.2.8.2_5) does not allow to use outdated security certificates for V3 version, so RBS 750 (V3.2.17) is visible but cannot be used in Mesh system. My question is how to make RBS 750 (V3.2.17) usable again.

Give 3.2.18.1 a try, then see if first version of v4 FW will load.

Have you performed a 30-30-30 reset on the RBS?
