Every time I do a factory reset and try to use my original ssid name the router disconnects
Hi,
I am currently spinning my wheels with a similar issue to this right now. Every time I do a factory reset and try to use my original ssid name the router disconnects. It does the same thing when i setup using a PC wired to the router. Temporarily I am using a different ssid for the main network and setup my guest network with my original ssid so everything will connect. Please help!

What is the SSID name being used and security mode set for on the RBR? WPA2 or Mixed mode WPA2/WPA3?
What browser are you using?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?SSID name is Jarvis
Security is set to wpa2 (default)
Tried with both Chrome and Edge browsers
Firmware is v 4.6.14.3 (fully updated according to software)
Verizon Fios supplied modem which is located approximately less than 2 feet from the NG router.
I tried multiple different ethernet cables. No difference in outcomes.
I have 2 satellites. Both were manually reset and unplugged before setup.

Ok. That SSID name should work fine. Once changed to this name, connections will be lost for a short time, then the new name should appear on any wifi device and should be seen and connectable.
Only item that I would do is update FW on the system since your behind:

As soon as I apply my original SSID the wifi connection to the router drops. If I change it to anything else it works fine.
My next step is buying a new router and set it up. If it works, then I can assume the Orbi is the issue. If it doesn't, then I will assume the issue is with my Verizon modem and call them for service.
Next step should be updating FW as suggested.

All this with out the RBR being connected to the ISP modem.
Would need to find out what exact model# is of the ISP modem.
