How do you turn off G on RBK753

I just purchased a AX4200 (RBK753) Orbi Mesh system. System setup was easy and I was up and running in no time. I just purchased a Wansview Q5 1080P indoor camera for our house. As you know, many devices like this can only connect on a 2.4Ghz channel.

With this system, I could not create a 2.4Ghz/5Ghz SSID so when it comes to adding this device, it fails because my phone connects to the 5Ghz channel.

I looked through the user manual and it is not obvious to me how I turn off/disable the 5Ghz channel long enough to add this device. When I log into the router, there is no 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz channel under Wireless that I can turn off.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a system like this that has added a device on 2.4Ghz.

Any suggestions how I do this?

Thanks.

I tried to connect the camera from the manual where you use the Soft-AP mode. I got the new connection and connected but the app never let me continue the pairing. It just set on the step where I connected to the new WVC network.

So the Wansview app is stuck on step 4 and will not advance to step 5, correct?

Never gets to the step of creating a QR code?

    1. No. It is not possible to turn off the 5G WiFi network.
    2. There is no reason to do so. I have connected half a dozen brands of 2.,4G cameras to the Orbi.  Every one (so far) has had me open a smartphone app, enter the WiFi information (name & password), which creates a QR code that I show to the camera.  Cameras have the benefit of being able to take a picture of QR codes.

The Q5 camera seems to be installed exactly the same way.

I would ignore that business about "do not connect to 5G WiFi" and follow the rest of the directions.

p.s. I am willing to spend $35 to buy one on Amazon, but I cannot have it until Sunday.  (I have a box full of gizmos that people swear will not connect to the Orbi, and they have all connected.)

Did you turn OFF the other RBS while working with the camera?

Just curious, if you temporarily set WPA security to NONE, does the camera connect then?

        Re-enable after testing.

So you might want to also change the power output of the 5Ghz radio to 25%. Turn OFF the RBS for now. Then connect your mobile device at a distance from the RBR to ensure the mobile phone keeps connected to the 2.4Ghz radio. After you get the IoT device connected, re-configure the system back to where it was.

I've read others say the same thing but no one tells where you reduce the power level of 5Ghz. I've look for that but it isn't real obvious to me.

I'm willing to give it a try if I knew where to adjust it. I'll look again in all the menus.

      Thanks

Ok, I think I found it. I'll give it a try and check back later.

      Thx
