Level Connect hub keeps disconnecting from RBR750 network

I have an RBR750 and three satellites that make up my mesh network. I recently added a Level Connect hub so I can actually do anything with my lock when out of Bluetooth range. Setup works fine but then the hub intermittently goes offline. According to Level the issue is with 2.4Ghz vs 5 GHz, and suggested disabling band steering to keep it on 2.4GHz (I've had similar problems with a Eufy indoor camera):

From what I can tell there's no option to do that in the current Orbi web interface. Any suggestions on how to get to the hub to work consistently with my setup?

And not sure if it's related, but I'm having the same issue as described in this thread. Two of my satellites are not on the latest firmware and report a model of RBS750QV.

  • [Update] Manually updated firmware on the two satellites, but they're still showing model as RBS750QV with an "update failed" status, even though they're now running the latest. Level Connect working for now, but will check again tomorrow.

Did you  manually update the RBS first then RBR  lastly using there web page to update to FW, then perform a factory reset on  the entire system to see of the QV changed? Was reported by those effect with  this QV issue  that this was fixed in latest version of FW.

RBR and one of the RBS satellites were already running latest firmware, so I just did the two other RBS one at a time. No factory reset, just rebooted the system through the web interface.

How do you know is the hub offline and not the lock?

Is the hub connecting to one of the satellites or to the router?

Are you using wpa2/wpa3 mode for security?

The app specifically says the bridge is offline. Not sure what it's connecting to because I haven't figured out what the bridge is called in the list of devices. Using WPA2-PSK [AES] security.

Just noticed in wireless setup there's an option for iOt devices that I didn't see before (image upload isn't working for me for some reason). That might help if stuff stops working again.

  • Thanks. New firmware seems to have fixed my initial problem, but will have to find some dedicated time to reset the system.
