RBK850 - refused to connect
Hi All,
My previously fully functioning RBK850 with the latest firmware does not allow me to connect on his IP address, neither the app can connect. It is simply telling to me "Refused to connect". I tried to power cycle the device with not much luck. I really want to avoid any factory reset - is there any other option? (I have 1 satellite connected)

Back to this topic again - as I done the factory reset. Device coming up normally, solid white established. I started a new setup using the Orbi app. It was connected to the default (ORBI72) wireless network, got an IP address, but then it is telling me it cannot find the Orbi device (Orbi not found). I can ping the default IP of the Orbi from the phone (10.0.0.1), but cannot connect either using the app, or a browser. Any other troubleshooting tips? Can the device defected in this way?

Yes, and "watch out". If a Factory Reset is done while the router is connected to the modem, it will almost certainly detect the IP conflict and switch to 10.0.0.1.
(This would not happen if the router is not connected to the modem when reset.)
Loading the saved configuration should return everything to the way it was (192.168.0.x, etc.)
So, I would unplug the modem, do the reset, load the saved configuration, then reconnect the modem.

Thanks for clarifying the IP address. Can you "clear the cache" on the web browser and perhaps try another browser?
Tried with multiple browsers having the same issue...

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
If you can not get to the web page of the RBR850 at all or orbi app fails to connect, you'll need to factory reset the RBR and setup from scratch. Press the reset button in back for 15 seconds then release. Give about 2 minutes and walk thru the setup wizard with a wired PC and web browser:

I'm really unhappy restore a working device, but anyway... Questions:
- Is there any risk, that I cannot reach the web page after reset, too, making the device unusable?
- I have 1 main device and 1 satellite - in which order should I reset them?

Disconnect the RBR from the ISP modem/ONT temporarily.
Bring the RBS to same room or near RBR. Say 10-15feet.
Press the reset button on the RBS first for 15 seconds, then release. Then do same on RBR. Give about 5 minutes.
Have one ethernet connected PC in the back of the RBR. Walk thru the setup wizard: https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
After completing the setup wizard, continue to set up the RBRs wifi settings (WIFI SSID name and password) as you had them before so your devices will reconnect automatically. I recommend using manual channels 1 and 40.
Check the RBRs web page for the RBS connection as well, should be synced. If so, power it off.
Reboot the RBR and reconnect it's WAN port back to the ISP modem/ONT.
Put the RBS back in it's remote location and power it ON.
Let us know what FW version you have on the RBR and RBS at some point.

The title is wrong, sorry - it is RBK850 of course, not RBS.
