No internet on Guest Network Orbi 970

Hi,

I recently purchased 2 pack Orbi 970, To be used as Network extender.

basically after setting up the guest network, I tried to log in, but once logged in, i get a notification guest network has no internet access, both of the other 2 networks IOT and std wifi network work fine, just no internet access on guest network.

I have read many posts but no real solution, or what the problem is. I haven't updated the firmware either since purchasing, as I can't find the latest firmware update for UK, only Nort America, which is like V12 and mine is V9.

Does anyone have a fix for the guest network no internet access.

Hi, I thought I'd come on here to give you an update.

Everything is now working as it should, including the Guest Network.

The only problem I  was having, was  logging back in to RBR after full reset, I kept getting the password reset loop, but once I sorted the issue, I setup the WIFI networks again, put the RBR in AP mode, restarted my ISP router 1st, once fully booted up, I plugged the Ethernet cable into RBR 10G internet port, tested the guest network, and it is now working fine.

Thank you both for your help. it has been a steep learning curve, going from a TP link router to the Orbi 970. Everything is sorted, including the satellite.

    Thank you again

FW for the EU region is on the horizon. If all goes well.

Brand and model# of the ISP modem or ONT that the RBR is connected too?

Are you getting any Guest Network connection from the RBR with out the RBS being connected?

How is the RBS connected to the RBR? Wireless or Ethernet?

What brand and model# devices are you connecting to the Guest Network?

What channels are you using on the RBR for 2.4 and 5Ghz?

Guest Network is working for me, however I'm in the NA region and my system is in AP Mode.

My ISP is Youfibre 2Gbps symmetrical, and my ISP router is Sagemcon  WIFI 7 router.

The 2.5Gbps port on ISP router is connected to a 2.5Gbps 5 port Netgear unmanaged switch, The switch provides the backhaul to the RBR and connected to the 2.5Gbps port on the RBR.

The RBS is wireless and is placed upstairs.

I am just currently trying to connect my Android Sony Phone. And have set the RBS and RBR to use both band 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.

I haven't turned AP mode on, but DHCP is disabled on RBR. I am assuming what ever settings I set on the RBR, the RBS will mirror the RBR.

Currently in router mode, with DHCP disabled, as my ISP router assigning IP address.

You'll need to set DHCP to enabled and then if your ISP modem is using same IP address as RBR does, you can change the IP address of the RBR to something else. Try 192.168.0.1. What I use for router mode for any router I put online. Or configure the RBR for AP mode, let the ISP router handle router operations and then you can continue to use Guest Network. Or you could change the ISP routers IP address to something else as well, and use default IP addressing on the RBR.
