Orbi 970 Not resolving IP's
A few weeks after I purchased by Orbi 970 I started having issues with internet dropping constantly and when it is connected it was inconsistent in resolving IPs. I did a full factory reset and the issue resolved, for about 10 days. Now I believe after a firmware update, it's back to not resolving IPs. I've tried changing the DNS to a public one, cloudflare and google.
I have a fiber connection with two IP's and another router that is giving me no trouble, in my mind that rules out the ISP?
Any recommendations so I don't need to factory reset my orbi every couple of weeks?

Not resolving what IPs? WAN side or LAN side?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
Does this happen if just the 970 series is online only with out the 2nd router being online?
What FW version is loaded now on the system?
Did you factory reset and setup from scratch after newer FW was loaded on the system?
How was the FW updated? Auto Update or manually? Manually is recommended.
I just took my 970 series off line yesterday after good solid 19 days online. I also have a modem and ISP that supports two router systems online at same time. Saw no issues with my 970 series.

Thanks for your response!
I should have been more specific in my post, LAN side, it is very intermittent connecting to web pages, they load slow or not at all. Same issue on all PC's connected to the orbi.
The ISP modem is a modem/router combo, they provide a WAN IP on port 1 for another router, which the Orbi is on.
The Mfr is Altice model # is GR140IG
I did not factory reset after the FW update, Is that typically done? Also do you have settings and load after a new setup?
The FW is V9.13.1.2 it is currently set to auto update, but I will change that moving forward.

Ok this maybe a ISP issue then. Since you have a router already at the Altice, having another downstream maybe having problems. If Your ISP gateway already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NATTry this, enable DMZ or IP pass thru on the Altice gateway for the IP address given to the RBR970 while it's in router mode.
If could configured AP mode on the 970 series as well.

I see where you are coming from but I don't believe there is a double NAT issue. The ISP puts there modem/router in bridge mode. Which in this case is providing two WAN IP's.
The first port on the modem is dedicated to the Orbi and separate from the ISP router that has it's own WAN IP.
I've validated this as well.

After multiple tests with Orbi support it turn out to be the IPv6.
My question is and what they couldn't tell me is why I needed to disable it to get my system to work correctly?

Only NG knows that. IPv6 seems to have been problematic on all Orbi systems for past several months. We've made NG aware of issues users have been seeing. All in NGs hands currently. Nothing else we can do accept for wait for NG to fix and resolve it all. If you do need IPv6, then you could use the ISP Gateway in router mode and configure the Orbi system for AP mode in meantime.
