c6300 does not get DHCP configuration in router mode

I purchased a c6300 router and registered it with xfinity. The problem is that in the router mode it never gets IP configuration from DHCP. If to switch it to the bridge mode, the connected compute...

    can you help me as well? I think my issue with DNS problems is also related to the above, as they have the DNS ::feed designation and it might have something to do with DHCP or ISP assigned IP which I can't change. I have a similar thread asking if anyone knows, sounds like you might. A friend told me to potentially bridge it to a different router, but is this necessary?
