CAX80 bricked power light on/ no response to ping
Same thing as everyone else. Nothing works! The modem router powers on and that’s about it. Can’t do a rest, hard reset or connect via tftp mode because it won’t even go into that mode. When CAX80 is connected to my laptop, I run ipconfig and see that my laptop sees the Ethernet connection but CAX80 won’t response to pings (100% loss). This is a hardware issue is what it seems like to me. The day my CAX80 took a bad turn and bricked itself, I ended up just using my last router that I had in storage that’s like 10 years old and still working, although it’s a DOCSIS 3.0 I just want to know how to go about this because I hate having to accept that this $500 purchase only lasted me 2 years and now is worth nothing. Nothing on the net about opening this thing up and check to see if some hardware got cooked or not. NG support over the phone told me to run some test for them and nothing worked so he basically let me know that it seems to be a hardware issue. Crazy, let me know if someone knows how to fix this and get it back up and running. Thanks!

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

What are the front LEDs showing?
So you can't access 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.100.1 after you press the reset button for 10 seconds then release?
- SD92113InitiateFront led that is lit up is the power one. Bright white no flash. And no I can’t access the default IP address of the CAX80.
Trust me I have read a lot of the post on here about the CAX80 situation that I am experiencing and obviously NG does not care to share on how to fix this hardware issue. This is not a user issue, this is a device issue.- FURRYe38Guru - Experienced User
You'll need to contact the forum moderators listed in that link I posted and ask for additional help and information regarding this. This is beyond forum help.
