CM1000 RCN Firmware

I am seeing some issues with my 1GB internet service from RCN recently. The only difference I see is that the ISP has upgraded the modem to v3.01.04 firmware. I did not see these concerns with the 2.01.04 firmware. Should I be running 3.01.04 or 2.01.05 on an RCN GB service? Thanks!

    Please upload DOCSIS EVENT LOGS and CONNECTION TABLE.

      Slower Speeds on peripherals. I was seeing 800+ speeds on iphone before, now 300. When I connected to Wifi (normally use ethernet) on my pc before I was getting speeds close to 900, now I get 50. Recently, my tv takes time sometimes to connect to a request, and sometimes will stop functioning. When I stream on my ipad the picture gets blurry for like 20 minutes. As well as lower speeds the speeds do not seem consistent. The only thing that has changed is the firmware on the modem (I have a netgear nighthawk I also loaded the latest firmware on this.)It seems I had better speeds and stability with the prior 2.01.xx version I was running and want to make certain that the 3.01.04 version is applicable to my RCN ISP modem. I have a separate Nighthawk router, this was something RCN specced to me when I started service.

        reboot the modem and connect your laptop directly to the modem and test the speeds. You have upgraded 2 devices at the same time in the network.

         

        also, please post DOCSIS EVENT LOG and CONNECTION Table from the modem.
