CM400 slow with Netflix on Comcast
I recently joined Comcact after moving and purchased the Netgear CM400 modem. For the most part, it works fine with no issues. The speed is constant and Youtube, downloading, surfing, etc work great. However, when I watch Netflix it does fine for usually about 40 mins, then starts burffering and eventually just drops out and makes it not even worth continuing to finish the movie becuase it just keeps stopping and buffering. Now, if I just watch a TV series like maybe 25 mins, its fine. Full HD, no problem. But anything more than 40 mins or so it just doesn't work. Every time this has happened, I immediately check my speed, and it is full speed. So I know my internet speed is not the issue. My speed is consistantly around 15mpbs. Any suggestions?

Hello Shadow123
Does the drop out happen on all devices and only when using netflix? I do know in the past comcast and Netflix had issues with bandwidth where comcast was limiting netflix traffic but I heard they reached a deal on this.

yes I have 2 seperate streaming devices on 2 TV's, and it only happens with Netflix. It works fine it if is just a 25-30 minutes show, but once it gets past 40 mins or so it just leeps buffering. Comcast and Netflix did reach a deal that supposedly ended any bandwidth issues. I can stream Youtube and other things all day with no issues. Netflix just can't keep up after 40 minutes.

what router are you using does it have some type of QOS setting on it? Are you streaming over ethernet or wireless? if wireless have you tried to adjust the wireless channel?
