Upgraded from Time Warner to Spectrum, speed issues C7000 AC1900

I searched on this community and couldn't find an answer.  Recently my time warner cable switched to Spectrum.  I had 15 mbps with time warner and spectrum upgraded me to 60 mbps.  I did a speed test a week after the change and the most I'm getting is 23mbps. I did the speed test on a desktop computer, wired to the modem/router. Is there something I can do to accomodate the increased speed within the router settings?  They offered to send me a new router/modem, but my netgear is only 2 months old and I'd rather keep it.  Thanks in advance!!

  • The modem portion of the C7000 may not be sanctioned by Spectrum. Should have them come by with a new device to see if it changes anything. Worst case, you could use the C7000 configured as an Access Point..

Thanks for the reply.  They are sending me a modem/router, I guess I'll hook it up and see if it's any better

        Hello Hambone69

Have you tried to facotry reset the modem it may on not got the new config for the faster speed since they changed that. You may also want to have them check to make sure they coded your modem correctly in there system to get that new speed.
