A6200 Dead Since Win 10 Upgrade
Your newest, supposedly Win 10 compatible driver, is not Win 10 compatible. My A6200 adapter was working fine until I upgraded to Win 10. Now it is completely dead. The firmware is updated, and I have tried all Win compatibility options. I have tried all A6200 drivers. I have even tried the A6210 driver as recommended by a member of this forum. The blue connect light never illuminates. I have used the standalone and non drivers. Nothing works. Numerous others are having the same problem in this forum. When are you going to provide a driver that actually works with Win 10? Also, why would you release a Win 10 driver when it is obviously not compatible with Win 10? My confidence in Netgear products is at an all time low!

does anybody have any recommendation for a non netgear adapter that worls with win 10. If I do not find a solution rapidly, I will make sure I never buy another Netgear product. How could they not have solved such a problem!

I am done with this company; their customer service is pathetic. I submitted a ticket for these adapter/driver issues we are having and they were lame enough to tell me that my high end adapter that I paid a premium price for is no longer in warranty. They are completely washing their hands of their responsibility to provide functional drivers. Juliet closed my case a day after I opened it which means that I cannot respond or reopen the case because it is closed. In all my years I have not dealt with a company so lame. So long Netgear and good riddance... I hope all of your remaining customers do the same. You do not deserve to be in business...
I'm with you on this one AJ777. Netgear has been less than helpful and the community is dying because of all of the requests for fixes on the same issue. The other problem is that I have presented irrefutable proof that the issue is caused by their driver. Of course, Netgear is going to say, "You're device isn't in warranty, we'll have a driver out when we have a driver out." Considering that issues such as these have been plaguing their devices since Windows 8, I'm not surprised. Hey, Netgear, here's a wakeup call, anyone who bought your adapters since Windows 8 are out of warranty! We put our faith in solid solutions and get ignored because you already have our money. Who runs your financial department, Floyd Mayweather? Good riddance to you, I will always warn against your products, and even more so your company to anyone who even considers wireless equipment!

I used the download from the netgear support page for " A6200 - Win 10 Beta Software" and at least my adapter works with some intermittant drops. When it does stop connecting I just remove the adapter and reinsert it, then reconnect (still a pain but better than nothing). Try that.

Thanks. Yes, I tried that numerous times with all available drivers, standalone and non. My A6200 was just dead. The blue light never came on and the LinkSys Genie or Microsoft WLan could never initialize it. Thankfully I made a restore point before I tried reinstalling the A6200 drivers to eliminate the dropped connections after my Win 10 upgrade. My A6200 is now initializing but Win 10/the A6200 seems to be creating havoc on my WiFi. I am now regularly having to reset my router to restore reliable connections which I have only had to do maybe once a month in the past (now several times daily). Win 10/the A6200 has some serious WiFi corruption issues but I cannot pinpoint what is going on. I wish Netgear would get their crap together. I cannot believe they are leaving us hanging like this. None of their Win 10 drivers are even close to being released to the public. I am so flipping sick of the incompetence of today's software and hardware manf's. It seems that everything on the market is in a prerelease/beta state even though it is pushed out to the masses. The flipping A6200 has been out for years and they still cannot get it right and don't even get me started on the issues with the lameness of the LinkSys Genie. Sorry, lol, I'll stop ranting now. I only hope that I do not have to update my A6200 driver before they release a reliable driver. My A6200 would obviously be completely unusable again. My only option would be to roll back to Win 7 to use my A6200. That would be completely ridiculous.
Hello AJ777,
Take a look in your event log and see if you can see what I see, as I have posted about this problem as well. Right click Start > Event Viewer. Navigate to Windows Logs > System. Does the event 10400 come up? I don't have a solution yet, as the event appears to be related to a driver signaling a restart for some reason.
