A6210 not recognised by pc and genie
I just bought the AC1200 A6210 usb adapter.
The adapter does not get recognised by the pc and genie. when I install the drivers and it ask me to plug in the adapter, it doesn't recognise it. And i can't find the adapter on the pc.
But i can connect with my wifi network and use the internet.
The genie won't start after the install.
I tried 4 different usb ports
I did install it on my older laptop and it worked just fine within minutes.
Any solutions for my problem?

I'm having exactly the same issue. I've tried it on all of the ports on my computer and the adapter was never recognized. I know that every one of those ports works because I've succesfully used them for other devices.
I've tried installing it from both the disk and from a direct download of the drivers.
I'm now connected to the internet and able to using the adapter, but the netgear genie was never successfully completed so I can't find the adapter on my PC.
I'm using a Windows 10 machine, up-to-date drivers.- ghostdotAspirant
Hi all,
same here. after Win 10 anniversary update A6210 has not been properly installed and recognized; unlike many others, I have now problems in connecting to my 2.4ghz network, which is up and running, since many other devices use it. 5ghz connection is slow (0,4mbit) for a while, the jumps up to 180mbits, then 0,4 again; mind that I'm on a 500mbit fiber optic connection.
Unistalled, reinstalled, rinsed and repeated dozens of time, with no success.
I've read somewhere else on this forum that a beta driver that "shoud" fix the issues do exists, but I don't find the thread again, since there is plenty of discussion about this HUGE problem.
Netgear, please help!

I also have the same problem. Windows 10 latetst updates. A6210 connected to a USB 2.0 port.
Adapter works on default Winows drivers. 5g not stable, looses connection.
Anybody from Netgear for an updated driver?

Hi JamesGL
Any luck so far solving the 5g wifi connection problem?
It's getting worse by the day!

OS: Windows 10 with latest updates
Just like Janvdb, everything was working perfectly until I was prompted to upgrade to v1.0.0.35, now it doesn't recognize the adapter regardless of switching USB 2/3 ports (they all work with other devoces), uninstalling/reinstalling etc. It appears this latest upgrade was actually a "downgrade" rendering the adapter as completely useless.
Here's an idea, instead of having every user private message the moderator, how about posting the solution so others can come here and have the benefit of fixing the issue, or is this issue unfixable?
- CteryAspirantI'm having the exact same problem now that the new net gear software has downloaded.

Same issue here. Had the lastet driver(A6210_v1.0.0.35) installed manually, tried both installers, and the PC Genie won't able to detect the device.

Hi all,
From Support I have got a new beta version of the driver software. (WIN10-27-TRIAL version) This package will recognize the A6210!!
But I still have problems with the connection on the 5g WIFI band.
So, there is still some work to do by NETGEAR
Hopefully they soon will issue a better driver as wel.
I will inform Support about my findings as well

Same problem here, Upgraded wifi adapter from a tp-link low price **bleep** to this hoping it would have worked better but nope, can't figure out how to make it work with genie, and the connection is not stable at all even using usb 3.0. Going to return this product if i don't get answer fast.
