Macbook wifi problem with university network

the wifi card in my macbook pro died so i purchased a small wifi adapter. it worked great besides the fact that i couldnt connect to my universitites network since i needed to enter a username and password to gain access. are there any wifi adapters that will work on my mac that give me the option of connecting to a network that requires a username and password. on my schools website it said it needs to support atleast one of these.

  • MS-PEAP and WPA2/AES (recommended)
    • EAP-FAST and WPA2/AES
    • LEAP and WPA2/AES

  • What you listed are 802.1X authentication methods and they are usually handled by the computer, so any Wi-Fi adapter should work. According to this article, OS X supports EAP-FAST and LEAP. This article describes how to connect with Yosemite. You may need to obtain a configuration profile with the right certificates from the university.
